Grades Seven and Eight Math/Science, Elementary, French, and Physical Education Teachers  

Teachers are responsible for developing curriculum based lesson plans, supervising students both in and out of the classroom, and maintaining up-to-date teaching techniques to provide students with a quality educational experience. 

Experience with Google Classroom, Mimio Interactive Whiteboards, and other technological resources to integrate into the standard curriculum is a plus.

Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree with concentration in subject area of desired position; masters degree preferred. Two years of teaching experience required.

Elementary teacher expectations: provide instruction in all content areas establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, assessments, and homework assignments that measure progress towards academic standards, adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests, and creating a positive achievement-oriented learning environment. 

French teacher expectations: 

Explain French language instructions to students grades 7-11, teach customized French lessons commensurate to individual students’ needs, maintain attendance and student performance records, create interactive French classroom sessions, handle assigned task corresponding to teacher role.

Physical Education teacher expectations: Instructs students in physical education activities, plans physical education program to promote development of student's physical attributes and social skills, teaches individual and team sports to students, utilizing knowledge of sports techniques and of physical capabilities of students., organizes, leads, instructs, and referees indoor and outdoor games, such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track.

Must hold certifications in swimming and CPR.

Must be available to coach soccer following the schedule of the BFA.
