The combination of an end of season cook-out and a soccer practice seemed to work for most people last Saturday. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere festive. The highlight for some was when Coach Smith was challenged to score a goal against the whole of the U6 squad, which he duly did with a left foot drive, though some said it never crossed the line. The debate rages on. The U10s ended their scrimmage with a penalty shoot-out, the defenders coming to the fore with their accuracy. Julia Hirt, Jesse Litzinger and Morgan Komolafe slotting home with aplomb.
And so to the final tournament of the season, this Saturday, March 25th. It will be held at Winton Rugby Fields, kick-off at 9:00 am with warm-up at 8:30 am. unless otherwise stated. It’s quite a trek to Winton Fields, so please get prepared the night before and set off early! The U6s, U8s and U10s play in the morning. The U12s play in the afternoon, exact times to be announced. If any of our squads qualify for the final, the final will be held at the same field on April 1st. If we all fail to make it through to the final, Saturday will be our final match of the season. Maximum effort on Saturday, please, Titans. Let’s see if we can end the season on a high! Go Titans!
